Congratulations Well done both Mark and Nathan Talbot for some very good performances at the British Championships. In week 1 Nathan finished joint 4th on 4 points out of 5 in the AM open, and in week 2 Mark finished equal 1st on 4.5 points out of 5 in the PM open with Nathan also collecting a prize for finishing equal 3rd on 4 points out of 5.

WDCL Annual General Meeting The league make the 'fixed finish' game the default time control. Players can still play the 'long game' but only if both players agree to it.

Congratulations to Mark Talbot on being the WDCL Lightning Champion 2010 Mark won the competition on 'countback' from his brother, Nathan, who was the only player to beat Mark, and Steven Jones of Padgate who also finished on 4 points out of 5.

The new venue is :-
St Bedes Social Club. Appleton Village. Leigh Avenue, Widnes. Wa8 6pd.
Go east at the traffic lights at the Kingsway junction (B5419 with the B5178), then after 100 yds or so take first left, then (almost immediately) first left into the car park.
The venue is next to St Bede’s Church.
